The Underground Sound Ezine was the second in the family of Underground Sound publications, the first being the printzine verson. The Ezine was a text only version that I sent to email accounts, which in 1993 when I started doing the emailed ezine most people did not have accounts that could receive and display html, so straight text was the way it went out. Later when I put the ezine on a webpage I added html to the formatting, but for the majority of the emailed issues they remained straight text. Not long after I started the email ezine I began doing the html webzine, the email ezine was supposed to be a compilation of news and information that also promoted the webzine, which is still around today. In the early millenium, the ezine was discontinued so I could focus on fewer side projects, meaning the 7 online zines I did were paired down to one, which is The Underground Sound webzine.

From 2006 until late 2012 no archvies were kept of the Press release Scroller which acts, somewhat similar to the Original Underground Sound Text Zine, as a place where press releases sent in to The Underground are published and placed on various websites. Beginning in Spring 2013, as the PR Scroller is updated, an archive of the previous Scroller is kept.

Beginning in the Fall Of 2021, the old PR Scroller was retired (for the most part), and replaced by the 21st Century Scroller, aka Underground Pipeline and is managed through the Live At Underground Records (LAUGR) Telegram Group, which had been active for around a year when it replaced the PR Scroller.
