�14.29 Severed Heads Clean (LP) Dark Entries US (DE 265) (Coldwave/Synth) Our first release of 2020 is a deluxe 2xLP reissue of Severed Heads' debut 1981 album 'Clean'. One of the longest surviving bands to emerge from the Australian post-punk independent music scene, they began in Sydney in 1979. Severed Heads is basically a nom- de-plum for Tom Ellard, who incorporates elements of 'industrial' noise-generation, tape cutting & looping and electronic sound synthesis. As the project developed song-structures and vocals were employed in a more-or-less recognizable mutant electro pop style. 'Clean' was amongst the first vinyl releases under the Dogfood Productions banner of Terse Tapes, previously a cassette-only label. For this records Tom used an array of synthesizers (Kawai 100F, Casiotone, Roland CR78+SH1+CSQ100), sequencers, tapes and occasional guitar and violin played by Garry Bradbury. Severed Heads have a language of their own, music that juxtaposes all sorts of noise, in all sorts of ways so that a structure evolves, (fragmented) melody and rhythm being almost a by-product. As one reviewer said in 1981, "It is an ugly album that you simply cannot ignore, it thuds and screeches and makes you stare just to wonder what kind of people would procure such an album." For this deluxe reissue we've included a bonus disc featuring 13 songs, 5 of which have never been released before, culled from live performances, the 'Side 3' cassette and a 'Clean' demo tape that only surfaced last year, plus "Food City" missing from previous reissues. All songs have been remastered by Tom Ellard, with vinyl EQ and lacquer cutting by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each copy is housed in a gatefold jacket featuring black and white xeroxed artwork from the first vinyl edition. Inside the gatefold are liner notes by Tom Ellard plus photos and press clippings from the period. "'Clean' is original and powerful and everybody should listen to it at least once, just so they know where the boundaries lie." Ashley Crawford, Virgin Press 1981. 25% of proceeds will be donated to the Australian Fire Relief Fund for First Nations Communities, that offers specific direct support to some of those communities with critical costs to cover expenses.

After five years of on-off collaborations and side projects, Aaron 'FIT' Siegel has finally got round to making a new solo record. It's rather good, with startling A-side "Exist On" delivering a brilliant blend of breakbeat-driven turn of the '90s grooves, chunky bass, ultra-dreamy chords and the kind of bleeping top-end melodies more readily associated with the early releases of Warp Records. Title track "Formula" moves even further towards bleep techno territory via deep space chords, thumping techno beats, Kraftwerkian lead lines and the kind of distorted analogue bass found on LIES releases, while "Wayne County Stomp" sounds like a mutated, mind-altering cover of Steve Poindexter's "Computer Madness".

�4.89 Zake Orchestral Tape Studies (cassette) Past Inside The Present US (PITP 19CA) (Ambient/Drone) Orchestral Tape Studies is a compilation arranged and produced by healing sound propagandist, OTS is a group of richly layered movements of fragmented orchestral loops, paying homage to minimalist symphonic composers and orchestras. incorporates field recordings and faint drone billows to accompany these selected samples of orchestral loops. With an emphasis on tone and recurrent murmurs, these four arrangements offer 32 minutes of delicate repetition, reticent sound treatments, and subtle manipulations. OTS is intended for low-volume listening.
Gaston Arevalo Terrain (gatefold transparent & gold vinyl 2xLP) A Strangely Isolated Place (ASIPV 024) (Ambient/Drone) Gaston Arevalo debuts on A Strangely Isolated Place with an exploratory themed album told through the lens of an expedition diary - a rich soundtrack set amongst nature. Gaston aimed to depict an adventurous journey, where each track captured a specific moment over an imaginary, daring ascension. An intimate meeting with nature, the album rises from the ground to our highest peaks - with the two extremes captured in the album's artwork. Field recordings from Patagonia enhance the feeling of freedom, one can only find from the great outdoors. Adorned with drifting harmonies; shimmering guitars; dense pads of cloud; gentle rising mists; the sound of shallow rivers and morning bird-calls, it all comes together to create a vivid and intrepid scene told across a variety of full-length tracks and short interludes - breathers and moments to reflect amongst mother-natures finest grandeur. Malin Genie (MGM 09) (Techno) Malin Genie takes us deeper than deep on this new drop for his self-titled label. "Aventijn" opens proceedings up with a veritable plunge pool of submerged pads and steady ticking techno hypnotism - the perfect mind bath for all sub-aquatic travellers. "KIAB" has a dusty house groove to it, but it's still resolutely liquid in its demanour, while "Duppy" has a more pronounced edge and some intriguing metallic dub clangs at work in the mix. "Amulius Numitor" continues the dub techno theme without using any drums - just one massive gravelly chord pulse. Then the record trips on out for as long as you like with a batch of locked grooves for the trick-loving DJs to get creative with. Marc Cotterell / Gavin Dista Locked In EP (140 gram vinyl 12") Plastik People (PPR 21) (Deep House) Cotterell & Dista join forces on a split EP of 90's house & garage music. Represses Robert Fleck Soft Focus EP (feat Gasometric Run remix) (140 gram vinyl 12" + insert) Well Street (WSR 003) (Techno) REPRESS ALERT: Well Street have been mightily impressive with their first two releases, presenting relatively unknown artists exploring some fertile liminal zones between deep techno, broken beat, ambient and many other shards of on point electronic music. Robert Fleck is now drafted in for the third release, making a debut appearance with a sound that further shapes out the vision of the label. "Echo Chamber" unsurprisingly deals in dubby textures, taking classic dub techno chords and matching them with delicate, crafty percussive flex outs. "Set Point" follows a similar path, but with a more delineated 4/4 backbone to the track that emphasies Fleck's techno tendencies. "Soft Focus" heads in a more UK-minded direction, using ample space and snagging beats with poised touches of Reese-ish sub bass without ever over-cooking the broth. Gasometric Run then comes on board to remix "Soft Focus," channeling Rhythm & Sound loud and proud to create a wonderful slice of ambient dub techno. Samo / Mirko & Meex / Buba / Giman Cruise Music Vinyl Jams Vol 2 (140 gram vinyl 12") Cruise Music (CM 002) (Funky/Club House) REPRESS ALERT: Cruise Music gather steam as they plot a course for their second release with a strong team to help steer. SAMO's "Straight On" is a sweet disco burner with a powerful vocal hook front and centre - it's a truly uplifting edit to get you up and running whatever the situation outside. Mirko & Meex take things deeper on "For Your Love", working with the incredible sound of Gloria Ann Taylor and creating a smoky terrace smasher in the process. The funk levels reach into the stratosphere with Buba's "Feels Like Dancing", and then Giman finishes things off with the heavy edit groove of "Up & Down", which should have bodies bending and flexing all over the place thanks to the much-loved sample sources. Still Life Remixes (140 gram vinyl 12") Instinct (INSTINCT 12) (UK Garage) Burnski laid out one of his most impressive artistic statements to date late last year with the Instinct album "Still Life", where his love of UK garage reaches into intriguing and experimental realms. Now he's invited a host of artists to turn in remixes with some stunning results. Holloway is up first, delivering an essential remix and dub version of "Can't Run Away From Yourself" that rides a crafty breakstep groove and places plenty of moodiness into the mix. On the flip, "Badman" gets the treatment from 0113, who keeps the 2-step flex up and matches it with some tasteful atmospheric drops in all the right places, plus plenty of bass of course. Desert Sound Colony completes the set with another highly developed take on "Can't Run Away From Yourself" that locks into its own ethereal groove. Nail presents Sentipede Eggs EP (140 gram vinyl 12") Ornate Music (ORN 029) (Techno) The latest drop on Ornate sees Neil Tolliday's Nail project metamorphose into Sentipede. His illustrious track record in UK house and techno has touched on all kinds of ventures since the DIY days, and now he's presenting something very special indeed for Ornate. The vibe on these tracks is more taut and techy, with "313151" opening proceedings on a bubbling bed of acid before the rubbery monosynth jack of "44151" on the B side. Keeping things locked into this nervy strain of warehouse tackle, "3131154" finishes the record off with some even more audacious 303 lines that will dig right into your synapses and give 'em a twist, in the nicest possible way of course. Roy Of The Ravers / Myoptik Learn To Brew (140 gram vinyl double 12") Ping Discs (P-TIPPL-TEE-TWIT) (Techno) A shared album from two acid mavericks. Club Of Jacks Raw 3 EP (140 gram vinyl 12") Club of Jacks (COJ V003) (Deep House) Club of Jacks RAW 3 EP Club of Jacks come correct with the third and final installment of their RAW EP series - serving up another vinyl 4 tracker of essential House & Garage grooves primed for the dancefloor. Track 1 'Memories' opens the EP with creamy Rhodes pads leading into a pulsing deep house groove flecked with soulful vocal lines, jazzy piano arps and filtered sax riffs. The second track 'All I Think About' is a soulful groove built around an emotive vocal hook and chugging analog pads for that end of the night vibe. On the flip side, 'Pressure Sound' switches style to a bassline roller with vintage reggae vocals, swinging garage drums and dub fx combining into a bouncy party starter. Finishing off the EP is 'Bug-a-Do', a tough and bumpy hybrid acid-garage-house banger. Filtered synth pads merge with a 303 and M1 piano line - a hands in the air new school / old school workout. Based around a party in London where each guest DJ is asked to collaborate on an EP with the Hearlucinogenic host and resident Tristan da Cunha . UK attitude mixes with New Jersey style organs , breaks , bass and a bad ass beats... Giving us two tracks that have an old school flavour but super fresh with a modern aesthetic. Borai HILEVRECS 003 (180 gram vinyl 12") Higher Level UK (HILEVRECS 003) (Breakbeat) Following his joint drop with Denham Audio, Bristol's Borai fires up the third installment of his Higher Level label with another two precision-tooled rave bombs. Building on a catalogue 10 years deep and a versatile production style that spans deep house, techno, garage and breakbeat, Borai has been busy feeding his heavyweight productions into the scene via his Club Glow project (also with Denham Audio) - first as a mixtape in 2018 and now expanding to encompass events too. As with much of his recent work, HL003 leans heavily on early rave tropes re-figured for flexible assimilation into open-ended, genre-agnostic club music zeitgeist. "Carpet Bagger" has a propulsive 4/4 thrust, but its nightmarish bass drops and stabs are pure darkside. "Sanctuary" (surely shouting out the seminal '90s Milton Keynes spot) takes a sweeter direction - silky smooth chords and diva vocal licks riding over a rolling Hot Pants break. This is classically informed rave tackle given a gleaming finish - heavy in the low end and bright on top for maximum devastation in the dance. Take note too - HL003 also welcomes a new artist into the fold for the sleeve design, Nuff Gal. The Bristol-based illustrator perfectly captures the playful energy of Borai's productions, ushering in a striking new aesthetic for Higher Level.

The title record is heavy on mental health and his relationship with the people in his life and his struggles with it. Dark ones is about the world today and trying to find relatability in other damages souls as we navigate this life terrain. Guards is about keeping up your walls in light of the government and the people around you, having no one to trust. Hi bye is a lofi vibe record where Chris feels like maybe he should reach out more and wonders why he doesn�t. WHD is a record where he wants to escape with the love of his life. OMW is a classic hip hop record where he takes us on a trip where he�s been and where he�s going. YAK is the most upbeat and hype record where Chris flexes his lyrics and versatility. That artists from the (European) Far North tend to melancholy is one thing that has already been confirmed many times. VORNA is no different. The band from Tampere has been in existence since 2008, and still is today in its original line-up. The six-piece group is well-rehearsed and has continuously developed its sound over the years. With pride and self-confidence the musicians grasp their playing as "Finnish melancholic metal". This means songs with a dark mood and an emotional state-of-mind, which cause reactions from the developing atmosphere. The melancholy comes to bear on different levels, but without ever slipping into pessimistic gloom. VORNA's access to the heavy spectrum is broad and open-minded. The six musicians are guided by their emotions and transform them into dark tuned music. Starting from a base between Folk and Black Metal, the Finns have enriched their playing since 2008. The symphonic extension of the third album underlines the atmospheric and melodic composition of the songs. "Sateet palata saavat" means something like "Return to Rains". In other words: something is brewing before the sky opens its floodgates and the power of nature discharges. This picture fits very well to what VORNA musically have to offer. "Sateet palata saavat" develops to be tense and intense. VORNA's vocals, left in Finnish, don't compromise the access to VORNA's "Finnish melancholic metal". The voice was that of an early-20-something Sarah Shook, who had emerged from a musically sheltered upbringing with a teenage self-educated crash course informed by classic Country & Western and punk and indie rock records. For those lucky enough to catch her in this iteration, it was obvious that Sarah Shook was on the path to an incendiary vision of country music. Even in this early stage of her career, Shook's signature brand of country music�wry and irreverent, high and lonesome�sent up the smoke signals for a much-needed alternative to the feigned authenticity of middle-of-the-road "Americana" singer-songwriters. This beta version of what would eventually become The Disarmers was rounded out by a pedigreed trio of Triangle Area instrumentalists whom Shook called The Devil�featuring future Disarmers Eric Peterson (electric guitar) and Phil Sullivan (lap steel guitar), plus upright bassist Jon Baughman. Being founded as PARALYSIS in the early 1990ies, ON THORNS I LAY soon spread their name in the global underground heavy scene along with fellow Greek metal acts such as ROTTING CHRIST, SEPTIC FLESH, NECROMANTIA and NIGHTFALL. After changing their name to ON THORNS I LAY in 1994, the band from Athens soon developed its style between Gothic, Doom and Death, it still is known for today. VORNA
Cliches almost always have a true core. That artists from the (European) Far North tend to melancholy is one thing that has already been confirmed many times. VORNA is no different. The band from Tampere has been in existence since 2008, and still is today in its original line-up. The six-piece group is well-rehearsed and has continuously developed its sound over the years. With pride and self-confidence the musicians grasp their playing as "Finnish melancholic metal". This means songs with a dark mood and an emotional state-of-mind, which cause reactions from the developing atmosphere. The melancholy comes to bear on different levels, but without ever slipping into pessimistic gloom.
VORNA's access to the heavy spectrum is broad and open-minded. The six musicians are guided by their emotions and transform them into dark tuned music. Starting from a base between Folk and Black Metal, the Finns have enriched their playing since 2008. The symphonic extension of the third album underlines the atmospheric and melodic composition of the songs. "Sateet palata saavat" means something like "Return to Rains". In other words: something is brewing before the sky opens its floodgates and the power of nature discharges. This picture fits very well to what VORNA musically have to offer.
"Sateet palata saavat" develops to be tense and intense. VORNA's vocals, left in Finnish, don't compromise the access to VORNA's "Finnish melancholic metal". The underlying emotions can be empathized and create an interaction with the listener right from the beginning. The organic songwriting of VORNA underlines the down-to-earth approach, the Finns are following. Partially, however, "Sateet palata saavat" sounds uncanny and creepy.

PSD - No common devices with networking capabilities are secure today. Without networking abilities does not mean denying the transferring of data from a private state device; it simply means the data is sent, but data cannot be returned from the transferring process. TS - Besides the origin device which has networking capabilities, transferring mediums are one of the greatest security holes in computing today. If you want to be secure and have privacy, you will need personal private space that cannot be invaded and destroyed by networking; either by device or transformative services (TS) such as electromagnetic imaging done remotely by instilled process.
Today's normal 2019-style consumer grade computers, even without any kind of wireless or other kinds of transferring abilities, are completely vunerable to established state (ES) servicing by by remote electromagnetic means; such as signaling which can be observed, read, manipulated, and controlled, by remote forcing. Such examples are ubiquitous signaling and therefore data transmissive methods such as any type of radio based interactions, which are many, but the main ones all would know would be the capbilities brought on by open-air networking communications technologies such as cellular based arraingements.
Without disallowing the immersion of Private Space by ES, security and privacy will remain if not impossible, so complex and cumbersome that eventual failure to provide establishment of a non-networked state is guaranteed.

Madrid's BIZNAGA are back with their 3rd long player, but what the band itself considers in a way to be their first album, in that they've broken from the way they normally put together a record (as a collection of songs that work independently from one another). For "Gran Pantalla", they've written an album knowing that in 2k20, our every move & inquiry will continue to be recorded for eventual (or perhaps immediate) observation by someone on the other side of a Big Screen, after being processed by The Algorithm. Whatever we search for will later find us. The screen has captured us � so sit back, relax, and enjoy it.
"Gran Pantalla" is twelve tracks recorded & mixed by Ra�l Per�z in Sevilla, mastered in Berlin by Tim Warren (Crypt Records). Performing entirely in Castellano (with heavily deep lyrics), and even working some flamenco handclaps into the mix, BIZNAGA is Spanish as fuck. If Joe Strummmer were actually from Granada, The Clash would have sounded something like this.

Marco �Puglia� Puglisi came out of the north-western musical tribe of Italy about ten years ago, at the time he was a fresh-faced teenager in love with drugs and lo-fi sounding guitars. Released a bunch of bizarre records under the moniker of �A Morning Loss� and worked his way up through pubs and squats. Recorded an emocore cassette in 2017 with the band �Lettere Da Un'Occupante� and moved to London, England.
After an epiphany with power-pop, his musical foundation veered towards more accomplished songwriting that led to the cherish but austere sound of his most recent works. In December 2019 La Fenice Recordings produced last Puglia's work.
�Blind Faith And A Little Wine�, stands as a brief collection of intimistic and acoustic pop tunes whose nine tracks clearly showcase the author's fixations: melody and traditional pop structure. Quoting Big Star on �Hide�, Xtc's pastoral songwriting on the title track, Jellyfish baroque ditties on �Fancy�, Byrds-in attitude on �A Questionable Reward Of A Visit To Inaccessible Island� and mimicking chamber pop on �Marseille�, Puglia makes a diligent work of transcription of the sacred writings of Britain's and America's classic pop.
As a sign of the times, the record was made and conceived in the Italian province, a place where kids with laptops struggle to come out of a reluctant environment, but sounds as if a �brill bruising� disciple composed it. In other words, Puglia is one of the sons reinterpreting the music of their fathers, adding a touch of internet culture's fear and a drop of melancholia for an �old world order�.

A decade ago, a refreshingly singular and rebellious young voice was starting to seep from the cracks in the floors and echo through the speakers in the walls of the cinder-block dive bars of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill region of North Carolina. The voice was that of an early-20-something Sarah Shook, who had emerged from a musically sheltered upbringing with a teenage self-educated crash course informed by classic Country & Western and punk and indie rock records. For those lucky enough to catch her in this iteration, it was obvious that Sarah Shook was on the path to an incendiary vision of country music.
Even in this early stage of her career, Shook's signature brand of country music�wry and irreverent, high and lonesome�sent up the smoke signals for a much-needed alternative to the feigned authenticity of middle-of-the-road "Americana" singer-songwriters.
This beta version of what would eventually become The Disarmers was rounded out by a pedigreed trio of Triangle Area instrumentalists whom Shook called The Devil�featuring future Disarmers Eric Peterson (electric guitar) and Phil Sullivan (lap steel guitar), plus upright bassist Jon Baughman. Shook's unvarnished and obstinate songs simultaneously in the veins of Elliott Smith and Kitty Wells were colored-in and textured by The Devil. Baughman's bass pulsed with a Sun Records boom-chicka-boom on outlaw anthem "Shotgun Betty." Peterson and Sullivan's guitar-dueling recalled the barn dance call-and-response of The Texas Playboys on Western Swing-leaning tunes like "Damn You." And the band united behind a lilting backdrop for Shook's trilling vocals and ruminative acoustic guitar-playing on the more affecting, pensive country-folk of "Old Friend" and "Follow You Home."
In 2012, sound engineering student Mario Bianchi invited renowned engineer Ian Schreier to see his friend Sarah in a rehearsal space near Raleigh-Durham. Shook was there performing with The Devil, and the set nearly caused Schreier to spit out his PBR in astonishment. He convinced Shook & co. to document this flash-in-the-pan alliance with him and Bianchi at the storied Manifold Recording in Pittsboro, NC. Recorded in only one day, the result was this rough-and-ready, seven-song chronicle of a band putting down their roots, but foreshadowing realized greatness. Schreier gelled with Shook, Peterson, and Sullivan so naturally that he went on to produce Sarah Shook & the Disarmers' first two full-lengths, 2016's Sidelong and 2018's Years.
After much demand from Disarmers die-hards, and nudging along by admirers at Bloodshot, Seven can now be heard in its deserved glory for the first time on vinyl, allowing this chapter in Sarah Shook's story to be enjoyed by listeners as they await the next marvelous phase of her already remarkable career.
