I am a musician that has created a resource called "The Indie Contact
Bible". I've been working on it for over eight months and have put well
over 1000 hours into this project. It is 311 pages and contains over 3000
reviewers and radio stations that are willing to listen to the music of
independent artists. There are also over 100 services that will help
artists to sell their music over the Internet, as well as over 200
locations that will let artists upload their song files. All genres are
covered!
It is going to be a quarterly publication, thus enabling it to always
remain current. There has been a lot of support and interest from around

It is something that I found was badly needed as I waded through the ocean

SOUP CAN JAM 2 MUSIC FESTIVAL TO BENEFIT THE ATLANTA
COMMUNITY FOOD BANK SET
FOR DECEMBER 12
Festival organizers, Wicked Group and Atlanta-based band Soup,
are pleasedto announce the date and location for the 2nd Annual
SOUP CAN JAM music festival to benefit the Atlanta Community
Food Bank, a charitable organization that provides food assistance
to not-for-profit agencies serving the needy in the Atlanta area.
Set for December 12 at the Variety Playhouse, SOUP CAN JAM 1999
will be an evening of live music featuring some of the region's top
bands and musicians, including SOUP http://www.soupkitchen.com,

COWBOY MOUTHS' John Thomas Griffith www.cowboymouth.com
and singer/songwriter SHELLY YANKUS, whose vocals were
showcased on nine tracks of Shawn Mullin's "Souls Core" album.

With the Food Bank facing a 30% increase in demand for food from
1998, the organizers of SOUP CAN JAM with the help of
corporate sponsors 96 Rock http://www.96rock.com and
Atlanta Press, hope to encourage schools, businesses and the
community in general to help feed the hungry. Several "can drives"
will take place at area schools and businesses, and people will be
able to use canned food donations to obtain discounted admission
into the music festival.
Admission to SOUP CAN JAM will be $10.00 with $1.00 off for every
non-perishable canned food product brought to a can collection site -
call Wicked Group at 404.881.1857 for info. Ê
The maximum discount you can receive
is $5.00 off. ÊÊYou may also purchase tickets at the Variety Playhouse
box office - but they will only accept cans on the day of the show. Ê
All cans collected as well as money received from admission,
less the cost for production, will go directly to the Food Bank. Ê
Look for the ad in the Atlanta Press starting November 25th and listen
for more info from 96 Rock starting November 29th. Ê
