I'm combining all the zines into one....all will become a page inside
the Underground Sound, which the new issue #31 is out now. You'll be
able to see the difference in the first issue in 2005. So for the
remainder of 2004 there will be one last full issue each of Electroid,
Joint, Hellzine, and Slam. Sermon will be integrated into the new
format in the last Underground Sound webzine of 2004, out in December.

BOOTLEGGER BASSIST SURVIVES BRAIN SURGERY
Richard Kilgore, better known as "The Gore" has survived invasive
brain surgery for Aqueductal Stenosis, which caused the bass player
to have grand mal seizures and endured him to incresing doses of
strong narcotic painkillers. The condition is also known as hydro
cephalus where the brain develops swelling sacks of fluid which must
be relieved or the seizures increase in frequency and could cause
death. Kilgore was fitted with a shunt that runs from the base of
his brain through his chest cavity to his intestine. While not a
cure, it is hoped it will enable the bassist to continue playing rock
n roll, cheat death again (Kilgore survived a serious life threatening
addiction to Oxycontin in 2003) and have a semi-normal life without
daily episodes of seizures. "We just hope the Gore gets better" says
guitarist Todd West, "Rock N Roll needs Kilgore on the stage, in a rage,
giving it the full bore!"
The status of The Gore is unknown, since after recovering from surgery
he is homeless on the streets of Atlanta. West relates "We're all
hoping Kilgore can be found. The band, his family and friends are all
worried about him, because in his state of health life can be
perilous."

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
It's that time of year again. Time for suggestions
on nominees for the Government Propaganda Award 2004.
What this is is (the prize) simply a headline in the last
Underground Sound webzine of 2004, which will be published in
December. The nominees must be available freely on the internet
(archives are fine), and be an actual production of a
government agency (any government in the world) and can be
a simple picture (gif, jpeg) ad , text article, or multimedia
presentation. An internet archive of a television or radio
broadcast is ok. The propaganda must be a lie, or clouded
information used to sway the public's opinion on an important
issue, and it must have been presented in 2004 to qualify.
The voting will be via email, but the nominees must be
suggested as follow-ups to this usenet post. Let's shed
some light on how our money goes to fund political lies!

WIRE PRODUCTIONS
THE SEPIA:
After a long time of silence Wire Productions comes back with a
new Release. The Release calls THE SEPIA and the title of the debut
album is SPLINTERED. The music of THE SEPIA is a mix of different
styles like Industrial, Electro and Techno If you want to get a first
impression of the Band please visit our website [wire-world] and

The three core members of THE SEPIA, Jules Seifert, Jim Smith
and Kate Rhodes, joined forces in 1999 with the intention of writing
music for visual media. They had worked together on and off for a
number of years before but the new formation has found a new strength
in today's technology. The three members bring to the band a variety of
influences and sounds borne from numerous sources and inspirations, from
classical to extreme digital hardcore. The initial instrumental pieces
formed the backbone of the band's soundscape and a number of visual
media companies have used the band's music in their films and theme
tunes. The 'SPLINTERED' album contains a widely varying sound and is
the result of the evolution of the band from the studio to the live
arena. The album appeals to a wider audience and cannot be easily 'pigeon
holed'. This is seen as the greatest strength in the band who are hard to
describe in a single genre. Their sound has been described as a powerful
blend of hard beats interspersed with intelligent programming through a
wide variety of styles from EBM, Industrial, Ethereal, Ambient, Rock,
Techno and Trance.
