NEW - UPTODATE RADIO MUSIC ON LINE
We'd like to communicate to everybody that the Brazilian Music
UpToDate - the Brazilian music magazine on the Net - has been putting
on line a MUSICAL RADIO PROGRAMM, yet in a experimental phase,
called UPTODATE RADIO MUSIC.
Transmitted on REALAUDIO, the Radio Programm will be on line
on every tuesday with a selection of 10 Brazilian musics, reaching all
genre of music as possible. Showing a Brazilian music pallete. The
weekly TOP 10 will follow the UpToDate's editorial discretion, what
we really think is worth selecting. That first experimental transmission
deal only with 5 songs just for technical adjustment.
From now on, we will present the definitive format with the TOP
10 songs followed by an oppening introduction and a quick comment
(english/portuguese) about each selected music. The listeners-users will
also VOTE FOR THEIR FAVOURITE music to, on the next week, get
to know the CHAMPION OF THE WEEK. Don't miss that,

CDC IS NEW FALLEN SNOW ON A BLEAK DESERT LANDSCAPE
cDc communications is tittering with joy on the birth of this shiny new year
to make two announcements. We are the proud parents of ten bouncing new
articles in the continuing saga of the CULT OF THE DEAD COW publication.
These feisty little rugrats will put a smile on the face and a Brussels
sprout in the stomach with their hearty blend of entertainment and
information. We also can now make public our "Good Times" virus hoax.
The Good Times meme was launched by cDc to prove the gullibility of
self-proclaimed "experts" on the Internet.
Any chickenhead would see through the Good Times virus message as the merest
wisp of smoke that it is, while the so-called experts ran around in circles,
beside themselves in self-induced panic.
Therefore, CULT OF THE DEAD COW claims FULL responsibility for the waves of
nausea and unrest that have spread from AOL to CompuServe to Prodigy by the
actions of egotistical 'experts' who roam the Information Superhighway like
squeegee men, seeking to wring a buck or two from the poor souls they
confront at every intersection and stoplight on the infobahn.
We have far worse to unleash upon you, should you insist upon pontificating
and spreading obvious falsehoods.
Heed well the motto of the Hell's Angels: "Those who know, don't tell. Those
who tell, don't know."
We'd also like to take this opportunity to quell a nasty rumor: cDc has NOT
been bought-out over the past few months to ANYONE. cDc, as always is 100%
independently owned and operated and has no outside sponsors. Viacom and

Glenys Rogers: s/t
GR makes cool groovin' kickin' back style music with a strong esoteric
african rhythmic pulse. Glenys is multi-talented, along with her strong
vocal lines and deep-felt lyrics, she has mastered the congas, udu, cabasa,
bongos, bass, organ and drum sequencing. The flavor of the music
runs from modern blues to urban to soul. This 4 song demo is professionally
made with a nice cover, j-card and lyric sheet...perfect for a market
tasting first indie. Do expect more from Glenys Rogers, talent like
this doesn't go unnoticed....Soul Unconditional and A Little Piece are

Hyperdex-1-Sect: Metachrome
SPV Records out of Germany never fails to deliver great electronic music.
This eight song CD features four original numbers from Hyperdex-1-Sect
which is Sevren nl-arb (vocals and programming) and Jonathan Sharp
(programming) plus remixes, two each by New Mind and legends
X Marks the Pedwalk. The four numbers and their remixes; Mind, Les Amants,
Hear Nothing (which does not have a remix), and Death Is Not The End are
classic electro-techno, welcome on any dance floor in the world with the remixes
adding a little shade of hardcore trance for the more psycho-active en-masse.
If you rave or are an electro addict, this disc is a sure-must for your collection.
Mind and Death Is Not the End are especially top quality..... SPV will

Silicone Breast Reduction Troupe: Hunt
SBRT as they are known on the streets of Los Angeles are four spun-out
babes living off their parents money high in the Hollywood Hills sucking
in all the smog and crank they can get a hold of. I met Lisa about a month
ago at the Coconut Tweeker early one Sunday morning when she dosed
my cola with LSD #25 (I didn't know it still existed...man was I in for a
surprise!!!)...About mid-day on Sunday her and good friend Cath (another
member of SBRT) drove up to their pad in the hills, which they claim
they afford from their inheritances and blasted me with some of the most
grinding, screaming techno I have ever heard. The BPM were so fast
and Lisa's howling so inhumane, I couldn't tell if I was coming or going!!
Needless to say, the tape I got in the mail a few weeks later doesn't
quite live up to the experience that Sunday. But SBRT says they are working
on new stuff, and I am invited to a spring blast at their pad. I am trying to
get enough sleep over the next few weeks for that one, if it's possible!!

Various Artists: Nirvana - Jungle Sky IV
Jungle Sky/ Liquid Sky Music have set the precedent, along with Astralwerks,
as to the best new ambient/trance/jungle releases coming from North American
record labels (and that UGR distributes both speaks volumes)...This, Nirvana -
Jungle Sky Vol IV is their finest as to date. Using some of the best DJ's on the
planet, as well as a few electro-masters, Nirvana takes all the tension in your
body, Mind & soul and wisks it all away with the smoothest mixes this side
of eternal bliss...hey, wonder how they got the name for this compilation!!
DJ Soul Slinger starts off the CD with a wonderful tribal/ desert flavor called
"Ali Rocks". The middle eastern kick continues with some drum and bass
from DJ Ani (a west coast favorite) called, what else, "Eastern Influence"
From then on, the jungle gets thick, with "We Are Not Alone" from 1.8.7.,
Marshall h's "I Wish" and "Flotation Device" from Ben Neill being stand-
outs...but that is not to say that the cuts from inna-most & origin, arto
lindsay, kingsize, tube and scissor hands aren't anything but top notch.

The Trip 248 Show is compiled on DAT for radio on a month-to-month basis,
with genres as follows: Dance, Rock, & Metal. Each genre has three shows per year.
The shows are not available to the general public, and only to bonafide radio stations.
Each DAT is 90 minutes long. The shows are done radio/ DJ style with PartyDog
as the resident DJ.
